Durrell, Gerald THE STATIONARY ARK, Fontana/Collins, 1977. Softcover in very good condition, black and white photographs, 157 pages. Gerald Durrell set up the Wildlife Preservation Trust in Jersey, he determined that his wildlife sanctuary would be a place of entertainment, but also it would be a research laboratory, an educational establishment and a conservation unit. He retains his keen sense of humour, which blended with a host of animal facts makes a wonderful book.
